1 Timothy 1:18-19 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
With regard to your faith, can you honestly say you lean completely on God with absolute trust and confidence in His guidance? The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to his spiritual son, Timothy. In it, Paul reminded Timothy to keep the faith, as well as maintain a clear conscience. In order to maintain a clear conscience, we must do what we know is right. When we ignore our consciences, our conviction for right and wrong diminishes.
1 Timothy 1:18-19
18 Timothy, my son, the instructions I am giving you are based on what some prophets once said about you. If you follow these instructions, you will fight like a good soldier. 19 You will be faithful and have a clear conscience. Some people have made a mess of their faith because they didn’t listen to their consciences.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for walking through life with me and by letting me know right and wrong through my conscience. Please help me to act on those things that are right. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
