Daily Reading 3-8-17
Matthew 18:10-14 NLT
It makes us feel good when people are concerned about our well-being; we feel loved and valued. We should care about one another. As well, we should recognize how very much God loves us. Sometimes we forget how very much Messiah is concerned when we wander off the righteous path.
In our passage today, Jesus teaches his disciples about the depth of the Father’s concern and care. I pray you enjoy our reading for today.
Matthew 18:10-14 The Parable of the Wandering Sheep
10 “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.
12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for always being concerned about me; you know where I am at all times. If I should wander away, please come and get me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
