REPENTANCE:

Forgive us for being weighted down with cares and bound up in our sin. remind us to lift our eyes up in preparation of your coming & forgive us for our sin, oh God: cares of this world and today’s worries.

God’s Discipline Proves His Love
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

Day 9 of 10 – Turning from The World to The Kingdom.

Galatians 5:16-18 (NLT)

Living by the Spirit’s Power
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

Forgive us for settling for the things of this world and for not pursuing more of a relationship with You, Jesus, who is our righteous ruler & forgive us for our sin, oh God: laziness and instant gratification.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NLT)

17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Turn from Living for This World to Living for The Kingdom:

Go through your phone/computer and delete/remove distractions that take up time & are not kingdom centered.

He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers,[a] as you still do. 11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.

Day 8 of 10 – Turning from Greed to Generosity

4 Give freely and become more wealthy;
be stingy and lose everything.

Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)

Growing in Faith
3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

REPENTANCE:

Forgive us for selfishly clinging to our meager possessions rather than imitating you, Jesus, and trusting you will give us everything we need as we seek you & forgive us for our sin, oh God: stinginess, ungratefulness, and selfishness.

33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Turn from Greed to Generosity:

Create a homemade gift or make food and give it to a neighbor or someone you wouldn’t normally give to or give a monetary gift anonymously.

10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

Blessed are those who wait for his help.

REPENTANCE:

Forgive us for caring more about the opinion of others than of yours, move our hearts to be fully devoted to you in absolute trust & forgive us for our sin, oh God: idolatry, people pleasing, and slave to fear.

providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.
The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

Day 6 of 10 – Turning from Control to Surrender

2 Chronicles 30:8 (NLT)

8 Do not be stubborn, as they were, but submit yourselves to the Lord. Come to his Temple, which he has set apart as holy forever. Worship the Lord your God so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

Forgive us for stubbornly clinging to control from fear, doubt and unbelief, instead help us to hand over our will to you, the king of kings & forgive us for our sin, oh God: unbelief, fear, and conforming to the world.

A Living Sacrifice to God
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

PRAY: for the spirit to empower believers to fully trust God, pray for church leaders to surrender to being led only by the spirit of Christ & for the bible to be accessible & readable in all languages.

Turn from Control to Surrender:

Ask God to show you areas of your life in which you are clinging to control. spend 5 minutes in silence listening to the lord. write it down and then rip it up to release it to the lord.

Living for God
1 So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. 2 You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.

Day 5 of 10 – Turning from Safety to Serving

Philippians 2:5-8 (NLT)

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
6 Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.
7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
8 he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

REPENTANCE:

Forgive us for clinging to safety and being fearful of following you when it requires risk, embolden us by your unfailing love which quenches fear & Forgive us for our sin, oh God: religion, doubt, and unbelief.

11 Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die;
save them as they stagger to their death.
12 Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.”
For God understands all hearts, and he sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.

Luke 24:46-47 (NLT)

46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

PRAY: for God’s believers to risk what it takes to serve others in love, pray for the Body to move boldly into the gaps to grow the kingdom & for the bible to be accessible & readable in all languages.

Turn from Safety to Serving:

Make a sacrifice today to serve someone else in a practical way, especially an unbeliever.

Romans 15:20-21 (NLT)

20 My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. 21 I have been following the plan spoken of in the Scriptures, where it says,
“Those who have never been told about him will see,
and those who have never heard of him will understand.”

Forgive us for harboring hatred and unforgiveness in our hearts when you have forgiven us of so much! Forgive us for our sin, oh God: prejudice, bitterness, and unforgiveness.

Romans 12:17-21 (NLT)

17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,

You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

PRAY: for God to remove cultural & religious prejudice from believers, pray for the body to overcome prejudice by loving their enemies & for the bible to be accessible & readable in all languages

Turn from Prejudice to Love:

Spend focused time asking the lord to show you people you’ve had bitterness/unforgiveness towards; if you can, go to them, and either way, ask Jesus for forgiveness & make restitution.

3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Day 3 of 10 – Turning from Independence to Unity

Ephesians 4:1-6 (NLT)
Unity in the Body

1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.

REPENTANCE:

Day 2 of 10 – Turning from Apathy to Passion

1 John 3:17-18 (NLT)

17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister[a] in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?

18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

Turn from Apathy to Passion for the Lost:

Go visit a different cultural restaurant, shop, or neighborhood in your area today. prayer walk the area and speak love and life over those in that culture.

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. 11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. Do Not Love This World

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. Turn darkness to light in your community.

Take a prayer walk around your neighborhood today. If you see someone, engage in conversation and ask, “what is one thing I can pray for you?”
