Please answer the following questions to help summarize what you learned during this week of study. If possible, use biblical references to back up your responses.

2 John 1:4-6 NLT 4 How happy I was to meet some of your children and find them living according to the truth, just as the Father commanded. 5 I am writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another. Based on 2 John 1:4-6, what does it look like to love God, according to verse 6?
Based on what you discovered in Lessons 1-5, how can the decision to obey help you make wise decisions in uncertain times?
Tonight in our Bible Study we begin Week 2 — Judges 2. God’s people only partially obeyed His command to fully possess the Promised Land. As we dig into Judges 2 this week, we will focus on the consequences of the Israelites’ disobedience and God’s mercy in raising up judges to protect them from their enemies (military protection) and from the influence of their enemies (moral protection). We will discover that the decision to be responsible to God for our actions can fortify our faith and positively influence those around us, especially in trying times.
For tonight’s Bible Study we will focus on Judges 2:1-5.
Truth Focus for Week 2: Judges 2:22 God said, “I did this to test Israel and to see whether or not they would keep the LORD’s way by walking in it, as their ancestors had.”
Prayer: Lord, we thank You for these lessons that promise You are with us as we abide obediently in the Truth. We need Your help each day to do so. Please guide, protect, and help us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
