Isaiah 12:2-6
God is the joy of our salvation; the Savior who covers us with grace and fills our hearts with His presence. Joy might be described as the sense or feeling we receive when we become aware we are in the provision of God’s abundant grace. That grace is available to make us joyful, but if we are not careful we can allow situations to rob us and make us miserable. Choose to hang onto your joy; keep choosing it until it settles in your heart.
On this Advent journey celebrating the joy of our salvation, we remember our joy is a gift sent down from God to humanity. It is the fruit of God’s Kingdom and of his reign in our lives. So let’s produce a harvest of joy for the Lord. God with us is Good News of Great Joy! Enjoy Jesus today!
Isaiah 12:2-6
12:2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the LORD GOD is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.
12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
12:4 And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted.
12:5 Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth.
12:6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, O royal Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
Prayer: Lord, you are my Joy! Thank you for the salvation you bring and the grace you extend. I stand in need each day. May you be blessed by my desire to receive from you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
