Romans 11:33-36 Living Bible (TLB)
Many people are content with living their faith at a surface level; having a form of godliness but denying the deeper power. Christ died so we might actually explore the depths of God’s love and the wisdom He desires to extend; tools for living. Scripture teaches that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, so God definitely has insight I need (Isaiah 55:8). I don’t think God will be asking me for advice any time soon. I do, however, need His guidance and wisdom so I will go deeper in His Word every day.
Romans 11:33-36
33 Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his methods! 34 For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counselor and guide? 35 And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce him to act?
36 For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him be glory evermore.
Prayer: Father, everything comes from you and will return to you one day. Help me to enjoy my time on earth by learning more about your thoughts each day. Teach me. I’m listening. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
