Psalm 37:39-40 New Living Translation (NLT)

When I work on a project, I can be relentless until it is finished.  I am patient, but I want to press on and give whatever I am doing the energy necessary to complete it.  Sometimes my husband says, “Mary, you are relentless!”  lol…in other words, I keep my goal in sight.

God will never forsake his faithful servants; our faith maturity in Christ is his goal.  He is relentless and steady as he loves his children.  He takes care of us and rescues us from the temptations and pitfalls of the ever-present evil around us; the Lord provides a way of escape.  To find shelter in the Lord is to find a secure place in his care.  We can enjoy  God’s shelter because we are connected to Christ by grace through faith. So take a deep breath, ask the Lord to be with you, and know God holds you and will be working in your life, today.

Psalm 37:39-40

39

The Lord rescues the godly;

    he is their fortress in times of trouble.

40

The Lord helps them,

    rescuing them from the wicked.

He saves them,

    and they find shelter in him.

Prayer:  Lord, thank you for providing me shelter and security as I trust in you.  I will remain relentless in my goal to enjoy a deep relationship with you as you grow me up in Christ.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
