Psalm 103:1-8 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
Some days I am overwhelmed by the love of God and how He values people; His love is so pure. God truly desires our highest and best (our wholeness) all the time. He understands our struggles and He is compassionate and merciful with our failures.
David was very familiar with this pure love of God; His enduring kindness and absolute forgiveness. This unfailing love and favor that surrounded David caused him to trust his whole heart to God; every aspect of his life. Praise for God erupted from the depths of his soul.
As we head into the weekend, let’s spend a few minutes reading David’s song of praise to the Lord.
Psalm 103:1-8 The Lord’s Wonderful Love

I praise the Lord,
and with all that I am
I praise his holy name!

I praise the Lord!
I will never forget
how kind he has been.

The Lord forgives our sins,
heals us when we are sick,

and protects us from death.
His kindness and love
are a crown on our heads.

Each day that we live,
he provides for our needs
and gives us the strength
of a young eagle.

For all who are mistreated,
the Lord brings justice.
7
He taught his Law to Moses
and showed all Israel
what he could do.

The Lord is merciful!
He is kind and patient,
and his love never fails.
Prayer: Lord, your love surrounds me and covers my frailties. You are mighty in every way, yet tender to my every need. Thank you for being my strength and the pure love I crave. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
