Psalm 148 New Living Translation (NLT)
Do you like listening to a symphony? For my birthday this last year, our son Joseph and daughter-in-love Sarah sent us to the Mahaffey Theater to enjoy a Florida Orchestra production. With every musician playing each of their parts with great passion, music filled the theater; it filled me. Well, the Psalmist who wrote Book 148, was calling all of creation to make music to the Lord for His greatness; to fill the heavens and the earth with praise and worship to the point of filling every inch of space and piece of matter. Psalm 148

Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens!
Praise him from the skies!
2
Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
3
Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
4
Praise him, skies above!
Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!
5
Let every created thing give praise to the Lord,
for he issued his command, and they came into being.
6
He set them in place forever and ever.
His decree will never be revoked.
7
Praise the Lord from the earth,
you creatures of the ocean depths,
8
fire and hail, snow and clouds,[a]
wind and weather that obey him,
9
mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
10
wild animals and all livestock,
small scurrying animals and birds,
11
kings of the earth and all people,
rulers and judges of the earth,
12
young men and young women,
old men and children.
13
Let them all praise the name of the Lord.
For his name is very great;
his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
14
He has made his people strong,
honoring his faithful ones—
the people of Israel who are close to him.
Praise the Lord!
As we are all part of God’s creation, as we lift up our songs of praise—our witness and testimony of God’s love operating in our lives—we join in the choir of believers to make music to the Lord; to bring glory to Him. So, today, please sing your song.
As well, please pray for our family as tonight we enjoy rehearsal and tomorrow Jimmy and Whitney’s sacred wedding ceremony. May every plan and preparation fall into place to honor God and this loving young couple. We are excited for God’s love to surround us all; we will definitely be singing praises to the Lord.
Prayer: Father, may my song of praise join with the choir of all believers in heaven and on earth, today, to express my love and appreciation to You. Thank You for all You do for me, my family, my loved ones, my friends, and spiritual family. This begins a special weekend for us, please keep us focused on love and surround us with Your angels. We will be exalting You, Lord, for bringing Jimmy and Whitney together in Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
